Ajax Cape Town have already completed their work for the weekend after playing to a 2-2 draw with Free State Stars on Friday evening. Here is what the three remaining Absa Premiership matches to be played this weekend could mean for the Urban Warriors.

Bloemfontein Celtic v Cape Town City

Saturday, 18h00

With Ajax placed 12th on 22 points after their draw with Ea Lla Koto, Bloemfontein Celtic have the chance to close to within a point of the Urban Warriors. However, to do so they will have to beat a Cape Town City side which has claimed 13 points from a possible 15 in 2017.

Baroka FC v Kaizer Chiefs

Saturday, 20h15

Ajax won’t be too worried about the result of this match: Baroka FC will remain in the bottom two (and at least five points away from the Urban Warriors) regardless of the result, while Chiefs are a full 13 points clear of the Cape side.

Highlands Park v Maritzburg United

Sunday, 15h30

Highlands Park are five points adrift of Ajax as they fight a battle against relegation, while Maritzburg United – who have the same top eight ambitions as the Cape side – are just one point ahead, though they now have a game in hand.
