Ajax Cape Town this past Wednesday (22 March) visited Lunako, a young boy from the community of Khayelitsha, who had been admitted to the Hospital after suddenly falling ill; which resulted in him missing a week of school.

On our visit, Lunako not only got to meet some of his Urban Warriors’ heroes, but also received the good news that he would be discharged.

Ajax Cape Town captain Travis Graham, Zambian international Rodrick Kabwe and MultiChoice Diski Challenge star Scarra Phohlongo were on hand to cheer him up and also gifted him a signed Ajax Cape Town jersey.

“Shooz” also accompanied the players to the Hospital, with Ajax Cape Town thoroughly impressed by what they saw:
“What was utterly amazing on our short visit was the quality and professionalism we saw at Khayelitsha Hospital. Not in our wildest dreams were we expecting such a well run health services facility.

“We were so impressed that we have pledged to return once more,” Shooz noted in the aftermath of the visit.
