SuperSport United head coach Stuart Baxter is taking nothing for granted, as Matsatsantsa prepare to host Ajax Cape Town in Atteridgeville this Saturday evening.

The Tshwane giants haven’t lost a league game since the opening round of the season, with Baxter’s troops heading into the weekend atop the Absa Premiership standings.

In contrast, the Urban Warriors will be looking for their first win of the New Year. Stanely Menzo’s men will also have their eyes set on revenge, having suffered a 2-0 defeat in a the reverse fixture in the Mother City earlier this season.

Baxter, though, expects nothing but a tough match against Ajax Cape Town, with the former Bafana Bafana head coach impressed with what Menzo has brought to Ikamva.

“Very difficult game,” said Baxter in build-up to the fixture.

“We are playing Ajax Cape Town and they are a good team which has been proven by the result that they got against Kaizer Chiefs [1-1 draw in Athlone]. They have some talented players and since Stanley [Menzo] took over they were on some run.

“We don’t take anybody for granted, there is no easy game anymore. This will also be a tough game and we have to play well to get the points. If any of our players are thinking that way then they are in dreamland,” Baxter concluded.
