The Ajax supporters inspire us - Evans
In a Press Conference held at Ikamva today the Ajax Cape Town captain was asked if the large numbers of expected opposition supporters will hamper his game.
In response he said, In no way do large numbers of opposition supporters affect my game; in fact I enjoy playing in front a large crowd irrespective who they support.
At one time the Ajax supporters were outnumbered whenever we played Chiefs or Pirates but times have changed and our players have noticed the growing support for Ajax Cape Town. Now we have a large support base when playing at home.
We have also noticed that the Cape based supporters are travelling long distances to support us when we play away and their numbers continue to grow.
As a player we are always looking to the stands when we play and the growing number of Ajax supporters inspires us to play at a higher level, concluded Evans.
