World Finals update



Ajax Cape Town’s U15 team have completed the group stages of the Manchester United U15 Nike Premier Cup 2012 World Finals in Shanghai, China.
Ajax Cape Town was drawn into Group C with Dinamo Zagreb, Boca Juniors, Shanghai FA and Manchester United.
The young Urban Warriors completed the group stage of the tournament finishing fourth in their group.
In their first game they drew 1-1 against Shanghai FA, and narrowly lost their second and third games to Boca Juniors and Dynamo Zagreb with a 1-0 score line.
Despite losing the last two games, Ajax Cape Town bounced back with an improved performance to draw 0-0 with Manchester United and followed that with a commanding 3-0 win over Esperance de Tunis.
Goals by Shaquille Abrahams, Lunathi Mdatyulwa and an own goal ensured Ajax Cape Town their victory.
Ajax Cape Town will play Celtic FC in the place play-off tomorrow.
The tournament finale between Universidad Catolica (Chile) and Gamba Osaka (Japan) is scheduled as the curtain raiser to the Shanghai Shenhua v Manchester United friendly at the Shanghai National Stadium on Wednesday 25th July.
