The Ajax Cape Town ABC Motsepe team had a bad day at the office, going down 3-1 to Magic FC last Friday at Ikamva.

“We were not tactically disciplined and were not organised as a team,” head coach Vladimir Heric said in reflection of the counter.

Having defeated Barcelona FC in Beaufort West, the loss at home was a bitter-pill to swallow for Heric and his troops, especially considering the fact that the Urban Warriors held a 1-0 lead at the break.

This week they take on Steenberg FC, who are currently in contention for the league and are unbeaten.

“We plan to attack them from the word go, same approach and maintaining our tactical discipline is key for us in getting maximum results,” Heric added.

Moreover, Heric is happy to welcome back Aghmat Ceres from national duty with the Under-20 team at the 2017 U20 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

Ceres played in the bronze medal match vs Guinea in Zambia this past weekend, but had to leave the field after injuring his ankle. The fullback has been hard at work as he aims to regain full fitness.

Friday night’s game takes place at Philippi Stadium. Kick-off is at 19h30.
