Ajax Cape Town’s ABC Motsepe team enjoyed a great four days of football, starting on Friday, when they took title contenders Steenberg United FC.

The match at Philippi Stadium lived up to expectations – with the end-to-end encounter eventually ending in a 0-0 stalemate. Both teams having to settle for a point in what was a competitive clash.

Influential midfielder Luke Vester who shared his views on the game in the aftermath:

“When you play against title contenders, you must always be ready for a tough game and when you play against a team that plays direct and are physical you must have heart and be determined,” Vester noted.

Next on the agenda for the Urban Warriors was a match-up against Magic FC.

Having suffered a 3-1 defeat to the same opponents at Ikamva earlier this month, revenge was on the cards for the Parow-based club.

The reverse fixture at the Portuguese Sports Field in Milnerton, on Human’s Rights Day didn’t disappoint, with Vladimir Heric’ men claiming a 1-1 draw.

As a result, Ajax Cape Town remain seventh on the log standings; having accumulated 33 points from 23 matches.
